Operation Bac Ninh - A Complete Success... This year the Venture Section took on the challenge of refurbishing an orphanage in North Vietnam.  This was the result of a years preperation in getting the expedition ready.  They were in Vietnam for nearly 3 weeks & while there refurbished the orphanage & took in some of the wonderful vietnamese culture. ....MORE  
Munster MPC '08.... Mount Argus was represented at this years Munster Mountain Pursuit Challenge (MPC) by scouts and leaders participating as an expedition team and staff.
The MPC was held in the Knockmealdown mountain range and was to prove to be one of the toughest events the scout troop has taken part in in a long time

Belfast Trip 2008 .....On Friday the 7th of March, the scout troop went up to Belfast for the away leg of the cross border exchange. The previous year we had hosted the 31st Belfast, St. Michaels, in our hall and this was to be the reciprocal trip....MORE  
Tracker Group Training Day ......Larch Hill was the location for the latest training activity for the Mount Argus Scout Troop.  Eight of our new Scouts were in attendence for the final stage of their training to achieve the Tracker award...MORE

Leader's Report on School Building Trip....One of our Leaders Noel O'Connor has just returned from a trip over to India where, toether with Stephen Carey of the 94th Walkinstown and some 40 students and teachers from Transition Year of John Scottus School in Donneybrook helped to build schools in some of the poorest parts of that country....MORE

 
Scouts throwing snowballs Cold Mountain....For the second week in a row the Mount Argus Scouts took to the mountains.  This time it was a training hike attended by the star scout award group, mono and myself and our destination was the tallest mountain in Leinster, Lugnaquilla...MORE  
Hiking in Glendalough.... The plan was to meet up at ten, grab the maps and hit the road. Our plan was to get out to Glendalough and climb Derrybawn (474 metres) before crossing the Derrybawn ridge to the summit of Mullacor (657 metres). ...MORE

Leaders Travel to India on School Building Projects....
