Venture Group to Travel to Vietnam to Paint Orphanage

This summer will see the Mount Argus Venture Scouts take on their biggest challenge yet, and they are to be joined by other V’s from 94th Walkinstown & 1st/10th Leixlip.  This summer the V-team will travel to Bac Nimh, just outside Hanoi in Northern Vietnam to paint an orphanage.  The orphanage is the home of children that suffer with hearing disabilities.  The eleven V’s & three Leaders will travel out on the last weekend of June & will be in Vietnam for about two and a half weeks.  During their stay the V’s will endeavour to have big an impact as possible on the orphanage & try improve the facilities for the children.  The V’s hope to mix with the local Children, and as well as learn about Vietnamese culture, share our culture with them.

To make the project happen, the team have to raise €15000.  We have started this already, and have a number of Bag Packing sessions coming up, along with a Table Quiz & Ceilí.  We will post more details, as they become available.

Best of luck to everyone involved in this excellent project.
