Scouts Share Time, Space

- Troop 73 visit Mt Argus Scout Troop

 

Last week scouts from the 45th Dublin, Mount Argus Scout Troop got together with the Troop 73 Westfield Scouts, New Jersey for a night of fun and friendship that occurs whenever scouts get together.  This was the first time the 73rd Westfield have been to Dublin having previously travelled to the west of Ireland on earlier trips. 

Over the course of the evening the scouts from both troops, through games, activities and presentations, got to find out what scouting is like both in Ireland and the USA.  At the end of the night the troops exchanged neckerchiefs, badges, fieldbooks and cultural symbols as momentos of the occasion. 

This was an amazing expierience and really underlines the fact that, despite superficial differences, all scouts of the world are united by their promise, their principles and their law in the brotherhood of Scouting.
